2008 — photographs taken in China, never shown before. The key: Dead-Stick Landing. Photographs have lost propulsion toward their goal: presentation. Yet, that is not a stop, nor an end; this is also a continuing movement. Dead-Stick Landing = powerless landing. “SKELETON GOATS DUST STORMS” is a powerless landing of landscape. Seventeen years since shooting — where is the landscape headed?

2008年、金村が中国で撮影した、これまで未発表の写真。読解する鍵は「Dead-Stick Landing」。発表＝到着地点への動力を失った写真。だがしかし、それは「停止でも終わりでもなく、それもまた持続する運動」である。Dead-Stick Landing＝無動力着陸、『SKELETON GOATS DUST STORMS』は風景の無動力着陸。撮影から17年、風景はどこに向かっているのか。
