<Mēdeia1.0> is a that raises awareness of social issues and world events through the perspectives of fashion and art, in collaboration with artists from Japan and beyond.

Moving into its next phase, <Mēdeia2.0> is a publishing label that shifts away from confrontational truths to focus on the “margins” of thought and emotion.

The second issue is a collection of work by photographer Stefano De Luigi. His project "Blindness," in collaboration with CBM Italia (Christian Blind Mission), reported from 2003 to 2007 on the current situation of the visually impaired in Liberia, Nigeria, Uganda, Rwanda, Congo, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Thailand, China, Laos, Vietnam, Bulgaria, and Lithuania, Stefano became obsessed with the unique "world" and "emotions" of the visually impaired in his candid documentation of their situation around the world, and synchronized them with his profession as a photographer.

"The blind are a contrast. But a reality. Someone, in every part of the world, spends his or her time trying to make their life as normal as possible. But they remain a contrast. The photographer’s choice is to use colors, which they can’t see, and often portraits, for they can’t pose to, and penetrating, radiant, or strong lights, which they don’t percept. ファッションとアートの視点から社会課題や世界の出来事を国内外のアーティストと共に人々に知らせていくプロジェクト< Mēdeia1.0>。

次のフェーズを示す出版レーベル<Mēdeia2.0>は、突き刺すような真実ではなく、思考と感情の“余白“にフォーカスする。

第2号は写真家、Stefano De Luigiの作品集。彼のプロジェクト“Blindness”は、CBMイタリア(Christian Blind Mission)と共同で、2003 年から2007 年にかけて、リベリア、ナイジェリア、ウガンダ、ルワンダ、コンゴ、ペルー、ブラジル、ボリビア、タイ、中国、 ラオス、ベトナム、ブルガリア、リトアニアの視覚障害者の現状をレポートした。Stefanoは世界中の視覚障害者が置かれている現状を率直に記録していく中で、彼らの持つ独自の「世界」や「感情」に取り憑かれ、それを写真家という自らの職業と同期させた。

"目の見えない人は我々とは対照的な存在だ。しかしそれが現実である。彼らが対照的な存在であることに変わりはないが、世界のどの地域でも、彼らが普通の生活を送れるように誰かが時間を費やしている。写真家にできることと言えば、彼らが見ることのできない色を使い、時に彼らがうまくポーズを取れない状態でポートレイトを撮ること、そして彼らには知覚できない、突き刺すような、輝いている、強い光を選ぶことだろうか。ただしそれは彼らの現実とは対照的になるのだが。" －Stefano De Luigi
