< Mēdeia1.0 > is a project that uses fashion as a medium to inform people about events and social issues around the world as captured by photographers in Japan and abroad.
The next phase of the project, < Mēdeia2.0 > , will focus on the "margins" of thought and emotion, rather than directly conveying the truth.
This issue of <Mēdeia2.0> is the 0th issue of the <Mēdeia2.0> series, which brings us closer to the small world as captured by photographer Mikiko Hara.
Flowers on the local roadside, the nearest train, the light piercing the dining room table. A snowy day. And family. Scenes that seem so obvious are really not so obvious. Things that we wanted to protect at all times, before thinking about the problems prevalent in our society.
「Soon he was picking them up when we went for walks in the park in our neighbourhood. Branches that has broken off and never sprouted were left standing over one after the other. When I asked my husband why he was picking them up, he said he would tell me one day.」
国内外の写真家が切り取った世界中の出来事や社会課題を、ファッションを媒体にして人々に知らせていくプロジェクト< Mēdeia1.0 >。
出版レーベル < Mēdeia2.0 > は、突き刺した真実だけではなく、思考と感情の“余白”にフォーカスする。
本号は、Medeia2.0シリーズの0号として、写真家の原美樹子がうつしとる、小さな世界に接近する。
地元の道端に咲く花、最寄りの電車、ダイニングテーブルに刺す光。雪が降った日。そして家族。
当たり前に見える風景が、本当は当たり前ではないこと。
社会に蔓延る問題を考える前に、私たちがいつ、いかなる時も守りたかったもの。
「それから通院の度に、桜の枝を探して拾い集め、持ち帰った。そのうち、近所の公園の散策時にも、拾うようになった。折れてしまって芽吹くことのない枝が、次々折り重なるように立てかけられていった。
